Reading note · CLSA / ACDS
Ontario Tech 2025 — Connection and Distraction provides a route through the scheduled scholarly conversations. Use the original dates, session titles and presenter names to locate a panel; do not treat a scheduled talk as a published research result.
Build a reading route
Select a session connected to your question. Record the title, presenters and page. For each contribution, distinguish the problem being studied from the method or evidence named in the abstract. Then look for a published paper or an institutional profile rather than assuming the conference text is the final version.
Panel worksheet
Session: __. Page: __. Research question: __. Material or method: __. Connection to your work: __. Follow-up publication to locate: __. Keep quotations tied to the presenter and source page.
Planning today
This programme records a particular meeting. For travel, registration, accommodation or access requirements, use the organising institution’s current event information.
Use parallel sessions to sharpen a research question
The Oshawa programme combines research sessions with encounters with art. Its schedule allows a reader to distinguish institutional questions from questions about research methods.

Example: research accessibility or creative research practice?
- Classify your question as institutional practice or research method.
- Choose one Friday panel, then record a paper title and a question to ask of the eventual work.
- If using the cover as a reference, retain the artist, work title and medium; permission for the document is not a new artwork attribution.
