Reading note · CLSA / ACDS

This announcement relates to the dates and conditions reproduced below. Check the organiser’s current notice before applying or planning travel.

The Toronto Munk School advertised an Associate Professor role in Economic Inequality and Societies, with a planned start of 1 July 2022 and a closing date of 11 October 2021. It requested an exceptional research and teaching record in a relevant social-science field. Rank and evidence expectations should be recorded separately from topic fit.

The Munk School’s Assistant Professor posting in Economic Inequality and Societies listed 11 October 2021 as its closing date and 1 July 2022 as the expected start. It distinguished the doctoral qualification from evidence of research and teaching. The Assistant and Associate postings are related, but they have different rank requirements.

The Munk School advertised an Associate Professor role in Innovation and Public Policy, closing on 11 October 2021 with an expected start of 1 July 2022. Its field description links innovation to growth, security, equity and prosperity. A research statement should make its policy connection explicit rather than relying on innovation as a label.

The Assistant Professor call in Innovation and Public Policy at the Munk School used an 11 October 2021 closing date and a planned 1 July 2022 start. It asked for a relevant doctorate and a strong research and teaching record. Compare the appointment rank, field definition and evidence requirements with the separate Associate Professor call.
